According to him, a number of stalls owned by residents also sorted out their inorganic waste up to 74 tons per month.

"On average, waste sorting can reduce around 16.3 tons of inorganic waste in each temporary waste disposal site," he conveyed.

Not only inorganic waste, the sub-agency also collaborated with various communities to reduce organic waste from the household level.

By collecting organic waste and food leftovers from households, the South Jakarta could reduce around 1.6 tons of organic waste every month.

"We are also collaborating with maggot communities in Tebet, Cilandak, and Pesanggrahan sub-districts. More than 2 tons of organic waste are used for maggot cultivation," he stated.
